Christmas Memory Work
Luke 2: 8-14
And there were shepherds living out in fields nearby,
keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the lord appeared to
them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But
the angel said to them, “DO not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy
that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a savior has been
born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a
baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Suddenly a great company of the
heavenly hosts appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God
in the highest , and on earth peace to men on whom his favour rests.”
Parents: This is the Bible text the students will be reciting on the Christmas program. We have begun to memorize and we are needing your help to practise at home. I would love for the students to know by this Friday "And there were shepherds..........and they were terrified." (small section)
Costumes: We will be angels, so I am requesting that the students wear all white. (can be white shirt and skirt/pants).

Salvation Army Food Drive
Our Food Drive to help the Salvation Army efforts begins Monday, November 25. This year our class teams up with Grade 6A and we will earn 5 points for every canned vegetable we contribute. All other non-perishable items are 1 point. The class that brings in the highest points will be awarded a class prize. Our school goal is to reach a goal of 20,000 points. If we meet that goal, as a school, we will celebrate with a Cozy Casual Day on Thursday, January 9. As we are thankful for God's bountiful gifts to us, let us share and care for those in need. Thank you for your support for this cause that makes a big difference to those in need.
